Professional Video Montage

In order to make a professional video montage that you and other people would like:

  • You would first need to have a descent editing program. I personally go back and forth from Sony Vegas 7 and Final Cut Pro, but you can use whatever you want.

  • Second, you need to have some good footage, and (or) pictures in order to make it worth while to watch. Because no one would want to watch something boring.

  • Third, make sure you have a good selection of music. Songs that would bring you back to the time of the footage, and (or) pictures. Usually if your making a sport montage you want to have up beat music. If your but if your making a sad video montage on purpose then you should go with some sad songs.

  • Forth, make sure you have some transitions between each video clip, and pictures. But don't go to wild with the transitions, because it's not all about the transitions. It's good just to switch it up from a fade to a flash. The one big thing you must not do is have a clip straight to another clip without a transition. It just looks choppy and makes it not flow. You can always use fade, fade in and out is not to much. It will still keep the audiences attention.

  • Fifth, you diffidently need to have an opening title, and if you want an ending one too. Go above and beyond and throw some text in the middle of the video. Possibly a joke, quote, maybe just a word, it's just something extra that would spice things up a bit.

Any questions post a comment!
